Common Trouble with Buffalo Drivestation drives
Drivestation problems or trouble we see is that the'access' light would flicker then go out. The drive remains silent when powered up. Possibly a smell of burning from inside the drive from pcb / electronics board. There is no sound and it may shut down the computer it is connected to - ie not allow it to boot up. We also see they might no longer mount on an Apple Mac Desktop.
