1. The drive does not spin up or power when turned on
The drive sometimes remians totally silent when the computer is turned on. The Western Digital pcb control boards are often married to the hard disk at time of manufacture and cannot be directly replaced with identical board even if all part numbers match. Sourcing these electronic control circuit boards is also troublesome as they are often used only on limited models which change frequently. However we can recover the data in these circumstances.
